Oral Papers

Oral papers will be allocated 15 minutes for presentations (including questions).

Times will be strictly enforced by chairpersons - presentations running overtime will be cut short.

Presenters are encouraged to practice talks and timing.

Presentations must be provided in PowerPoint format.

Presentations must be checked by the presenter with the audio-visual technician in the speakers’ preparation room as soon as possible after registering at the Conference venue.

Presenters should arrive at their session room, introduce themselves to the chairperson and familiarize themselves with the audio-visual facilities including checking their presentation at least 10 minutes prior to session commencement.
Posters

Make a poster for display during the Conference

Present your “poster” in the form of three PowerPoint slides in a poster session

Each poster board is 1.2m wide x 1.8m high, mounted vertically. Posters must be portrait size, 1m wide x 1.5m high.

There is limited space in the Poster Display area and Posters that are produced landscape are unable to be accommodated

Velcro dots will be available at the registration desk.

Authors must prepare all posters beforehand in a form enabling easy mounting

All posters must be mounted by the author either on Sunday afternoon (you will have access to the exhibition hall until 6pm), or prior to the beginning of sessions at 8.30am on Monday 13 September, and removed at the conclusion of lunch on Wednesday15 September. The poster walls will be pulled down after this time, and the conference secretariat takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any posters not taken down.

Your poster will be displayed for the duration of the Conference.

Sessions will be held during the ASM where you will present your findings. You will be allocated 4 minutes presentation time. No more than 3 PowerPoint slides will be allowed (no title slide, no acknowledgements), with no fly outs and no more than one “fly in” per slide. Please present the key findings in no more than 1½ minutes to allow adequate time for discussion and questions. The Chairpersons will be keeping presentations to strict time limit – so please ensure you do not go over time.

Monday and Tuesday Poster presenters are required to attend their poster in the exhibition hall to answer questions from other delegates, at lunchtime on the day of their poster presentation. Wednesday presenters are required to attend their poster at morning tea.
All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement to Nephrology.
Audiovisual Equipment
A data projector, laptop and microphone will be available for each oral presentation.
Presenters will need to take their PowerPoint slides to the ASM on a CD-ROM or memory stick. An audiovisual technician will load your presentation.
Refereeing Process
All abstracts will be peer-reviewed as part of the selection process.
Accessing the Speaker’s Zone
When you submit your abstract you will be given an Access Key. If you wish to submit a new abstract or replace an existing abstract you can do so through the Speaker’s Zone.
Presenters’ Registration
All presenting authors should by registered by Friday 30 July 2010.
